The Summit 03:53
Hazy evening, your mother pulls up at the summit outside the house your grandfather grew up in and in the warmth of negroni and flushed sky the jobs that he went through/ the things that he left you it’s dizzying how casually we can die Let’s stay here for a minute, looking out at the strait lingering weightless over this boardwalk of a driveway At this quiet end of the street weighted blanket of pollen/ threaded to each blossom the rents rise around you like teeth Tell me how much will matter this time next year? I used to want to sleep through these years and now I fret at the flow of them. But never, let us never go back Hazy morning, weather boards and radio static Stare at the ceiling mould like stars blessing the fabric in this quiet, quiet state imagining day that somebody else points out the place

Cicadas 3 02:56
Break up/ down Either way you're losing friends But you learn to let go of the spreadsheet in the end Street lit amber, rotting camelia All rusting away It's nothing new, it's nothing strange but it's a sorry state- staying for the ones that stay. They let it go, bored with your bones. You won't leave.. Trying to light your effigy, rain pouring down. Pass through/ out Either way it just feels wrong At work/ dawn Sustained by something gone Street lit horribly Pitch dark You see your face in the glass of the door Taking in what you see Making mental notes for how to best dress the effigy Repeating your sentences Jaundiced forgivenesses Rattling round like rain on the back of the flame I can't swallow it I just stay slipping away They let it go, bored with your bones. You won't leave.. Trying to light your effigy, rain pouring down. They had enough, bored with the blood. You won't leave.. Trying to light your effigy, rain pouring down.

I can see you live on, at the very worst, with your name as at least several people’s passwords, with several more reflecting on your last words and heartaches and sign me up I think of you in the park watching Steely Dan but it’s not Steely Dan, it’s a Steely Dan covers band called Steely DNA - 'hey fuck you, whatever, whatever they were good' When you can’t take it anymore Well I’ll take it, it’s only a photo I was so excited to see you turn 30 I didn’t know anyone 30 I look around and ask you how old do you feel you’re turning? - 'yeah about 30' Wrapped up in the garden, it’s a violent dream watching the sun die on stage with the MC I don’t want to hold you up I want to hold.. you.. up.. When you can’t take it anymore Well I’ll take it, it’s only a photo Is there someone you talk to when we’re not around? Tell me baby there’s no one, nobody else Don’t worry nobody cares and nobody here can tell Is there someone you talk to when we’re not around? Tell me baby there’s no one, nobody else It’s the ugliest feeling but I’m sure that you can tell by now As long as you need me I’ll need you as well

Wedding DJ 03:50
I see the mountain always I walk down its rivers, shivering in the doorway but what I want is mostly yours: stealing towels from grocery stores and where I’m going is not that far away: out of touch, into May and i’m trying to lie but i’m regretting each play like a wedding DJ I hear the ocean most nights I sleep in the static and the salt and it’s alright but where I’m from is mostly here: wrapped up in the dirt and the glass of these wasted years and where I’m heading is nowhere strange: little moon, ridiculous waves and you're still wanting to die still so ashamed, everyday Church bells mingle with the highway Saint Christopher hangs down from your neck facedown on my chest
